Size: 4 1/2″ x 54
Vitola: Torpedo
Wrapper: Brazilian Maduro
Origin: USA
The folks at El Titan de Bronze were nice enough to send me some samples of their products. The Grand Reserve Maduro is their Maduro entry.
This is not your standard looking Maduro. It is more Colorado Maduro in color, but does not have the rumpled or mottled-ness of many Brazilian wrappers. It takes a clip well and has an easy pre-light draw.
This is a short little Belicoso. It has a nice milk chocolate brown wrapper that is satiny to the touch and is slightly firm with ample give.
As I smoke this I get some earthiness, a little spice and an underlying sweetness. The finish is long and there are some metallic notes on the finish.
The cigar burns perfectly and gives off ample smoke and shows great construction and craftsmanship.
I’m not much of a Maduro fan but I really enjoyed this cigar. I’d love to try one of the longer sizes so I can pick up more of the complexity this little fellah showed me. Thanks to the folks at El Titan de Bronze!
